Professor Stanisław Bóbr-Tylingo, a Polish emigration historian, Warsaw insurgent and soldier of the Świętokrzyska Brigade, died in Halifax (Canada) in 2001. Mr. Jan Skóra, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Halifax, secured part of his legacy against damage and contacted the Institute of National Remembrance with the aim to hand over his unique collection to the national archival collection.
Due to the large volume of documentation, it was necessary to perform a review in order to sort out documents related to the activity of the Institute of National Remembrance. Two employees of the Institute took up this task.
In the aftermath of the verification, the documentation comprising, inter alia, part of a library, private correspondence, drafts of scientific works, materials documenting the workshop of scientific work, was examined, packed and sent to Poland.
